Day 14+15: Supercrawl - James St.

So Supercrawl is an arts and music festival in Hamilton. Great timing to come to Hamilton actually before it happened. Its a free event downtown on a couple of the streets. A lot of the Canadians I met and went to the festival with had never been before!

There was even a circus performance thrown in there for good measure. A mix of pyrotechnics too!

The best grilled cheese I've ever had. It was full of flavour, thoroughly recommend stopping by this place for lunch.

Great Lake Swimmers were definitely a highlight of the bands I saw along with Born Ruffians that night too. They played a great set with old and new songs and had a few amazing violin solo's that had everyone swaying silently.

K'Naan finished the night with his headlining slot. He did the world cup song for South Africa and left that until his encore at the very end. Everyone seems to love him here and he played a few new songs that were pretty decent.

The first night had Said the Whale playing who I was really looking forward to seeing, and they didn't disappoint at all. Great band live.

Loads of installation art was scattered around as well as a great many art galleries opening until late at night. The whole vibe of Hamilton was great and the streets were full of people.
